As long as you keep up with the maintenance on a VW it will remain a good and reliable car. Had the car for over 10 years so of course after that amount of time there can be some mechanical issues. Great car in terms of liability and I wouldn't trade it. Extremely fun to drive.

This is one of the best cars that I have ever owned. It has been extremely reliable over the years, and it still drives as if it were new. It has the comfort level of more expensive vehicles, and it is extremely fun to drive.

I purchased this car in 2010 and it has served me very well since. My only real complaint is that the car is only 4 cylinders, so acceleration is a little slow and RPM's get high when merging onto a highway. This is not an issue for city driving and you get great gas mileage with the car. I do worry about the emissions because this car missed the cutoff for the big VW emissions scandal by one year. The replacement parts are cheap and the car is easy to work on and repair at home. The car is beautiful looking and easily helps me fit in with my more wealthy neighbors. Otherwise this is an amazing car for the price and I would recommend to my friends. I think I will be buying Volkswagens for the rest of my life.
